On August 25, the ReCity project team met in Yerevan for a working meeting. Researchers from the Laboratory of Territorial Studies and Development Harutyun Vermishyan, Aram Vartikyan, Armine Ghalamdaryan and Shushan Abrahamyan shared key insights from their recent fieldwork in Sisian.
Adding an international perspective, Yvonne Franz, Senior Urban Researcher with the ReCity project and Academic Director of Kooperative Stadt- und Regionalentwicklung, Universität Wien at the Postgraduate Center of the Universität Wien | University of Vienna, discussed the project’s methodological approaches. Together, the team mapped out priorities and next steps, setting an agenda for the year ahead.
Later, the team took a guided walk in the labor neighborhood near Yerevan train station.
