Charentsavan is the only target city in the ReCity project that is considered one of Yerevan’s satellite towns and was originally built on open fields as an industrial city.
As part of the visit with colleagues from the Urban Sustainability Living Lab - University of Vienna, we once again toured the city’s symbolic abandoned railway station, residential neighborhoods, and also visited a partially operating machine-tool factory, where traces of the industrial past have been quite carefully preserved․
